Kettle’s Yard is a beautiful and unique house that contains a distinctive collection of modern art. Works of art are interspersed with natural objects and the house remains largely as it was when its founder, Jim Ede, lived there. The collection includes paintings by Ben and Winifred Nicholson, Christopher Wood, Alfred Wallis, David Jones and sculpture by Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, Constantin Brancusi and Henri Gaudier-Brzeska. Next door, is an internationally renowned gallery that presents a changing programme of contemporary and modern art exhibitions. From April 2012 we will be building a new Education Wing and part of the house may be closed – please phone or see our website to confirm details.
